Every sign is laser-cut from Baltic birch plywood on calibrated equipment, hand-sanded after cutting, and shipped in protective packaging that will not bend or crush during transit.

Font and Style Options

We carry three font families that cover almost every use case. Modern script fonts (flowing handwritten styles) work for nurseries, weddings, and feminine spaces — they read soft and personal, and the connected letterforms produce strong silhouettes when laser-cut. Block sans-serif fonts work for kids rooms, sports themes, and modern minimalist decor — bold, readable, and easy to mount on any wall color. Classic serif fonts work for traditional family rooms, libraries, and gifts to older adults — refined, timeless, and they cast clean shadows when wall-mounted. We can also import a custom font if you have a brand or specific typeface in mind — upload the font file with your order.

Size Guide

Sizing depends on where the sign will live. 8-12 inches wide works for desks, shelves, small wall vignettes, and as part of a layered nursery decor. 18-24 inches wide is the most popular size — it reads from across a room without dominating the wall, and fits standard nursery and bedroom proportions. 30-36 inches wide is feature-piece territory — for wide walls above a crib, behind a bed, or above a fireplace. We can produce up to 48 inches in a single piece (limited by our laser bed). For larger signs we panel-mount two sections seamlessly.

5mm or 12mm Thickness

Thickness changes the personality of the sign. 5mm Baltic birch is light enough to mount with adhesive strips, ships flat, and reads as decorative — perfect for nursery signs, bedroom decor, and gifts where weight matters for shipping. 12mm Baltic birch reads as substantial and carved — it casts a real shadow on the wall, has structural integrity for free-standing display on shelves, and is the right call for "this is a permanent feature" signs. 12mm costs more because the laser cuts slower through thicker stock. Finish Options

The default finish is raw sanded Baltic birch — clean, light, with the natural birch grain visible. About 60% of our orders ship this way. Options: hardwax oil (subtle protection, slightly enriches the warm tones, recommended for kitchens and high-touch areas), white paint (modern minimalist look, common for nurseries), black paint (graphic, high-contrast against light walls), or stain (walnut, espresso, weathered grey, or honey). Painted finishes add 24-48 hours to turnaround for proper drying.

Mounting Hardware Included

Every name sign ships with command-strip adhesive tabs as standard — they hold up to 8 lbs and remove cleanly when you move. For heavier 12mm signs over 24 inches we ship flush-mount keyhole brackets which require small screws into the wall but support up to 50 lbs. For free-standing display, optional tabletop bases are available for $12 — small wood feet that let the sign stand on a shelf or mantle.

Turnaround and Shipping

Standard turnaround is 5-7 business days from order approval, plus 2-5 days for ground shipping. Rush turnaround (2-3 business days) is available for $25 extra. We ship via UPS Ground in custom-cut foam packaging that we have shipped over a thousand times without damage. Local pickup at our LA workshop is available with 2-day turnaround. For wedding rush orders we recommend ordering 4-6 weeks before the event for stress-free timing.
